Work Christmas Parties

Now that both of us work full time, we enjoyed two Christmas parties in less than one week!

These are a few shots of us before my party last weekend.

My lovely sister did my hair for both parties!  This was last week's...

And this was tonight's...

And here's us.  Thanks sis!!

At Leif's party tonight, we won a super good door prize!!!!!!!!!!  See how excited Leif looks!!!  I'm lucky I had the camera because I think I looked even crazier!!

Two Flames tickets!!!!  Just in time for a Valentine's Day date!

We sat at the best table.  These two kept us laughing all night!

Latest Creation

Last summer I had this brilliant idea to buy a couple gigantic balls of yarn, cut them into smaller balls for easy traveling, and crochet squares on the train on my way to and from work.  I clearly was not thinking very far ahead because sewing the stupid things together was not very fun!  After much procrastinating, I finally have a finished product.

Epic Cardmaking Session

Last Saturday, I spent the afternoon and evening making cards. It was a long day but very fun and I'm pleased with what I made.  We made 24 cards from a package of paper, stickers, and cutouts.  Me and a friend from work shared two packages so we got 12 of each kind.

Cute bucket of cards.

Six of my favourite cards from the "Tea Time" package.

Six of my favourites from the "Tickets and Tags" package.

I have my husband back!

Meet "El Creepo".  He took over my husband's body for the month of November.

Mid-month.

In all his creepish glory.

Happy it's gone!  Can you tell what his favourite hoodie is??

High School Football and College Basketball

We went to my brother's semi-final football game tonight and they won 28-0!  Go Abe!  It was bitterly cold and windy so I wasn't brave enough to take any pictures.  Super bummed we can't see the final on Saturday but I'm sure my lovely sister will be in the stands for the entire game texting me updates right?!?!

On the weekend we went with Keith to a SAIT basketball game.  He used to play with one of the guys on the visiting team.  It was a really good game and a lot of fun to watch.

Musical chairs at half time.

See the black referee on the left side of the picture?  Two weekends ago I refereed with him!!!!  He's one of the best referees in the city and he does university games too.  The referee at the back has done some of Joel's high school games.

Four going on Thirteen

We celebrated a little girl's birthday last week.  The usual suspects (aka cute kids) were all present.

Checking out her new camera.

The delicious cake just after the girls blew out the candles!

Say cheese!

What's in the pretty boxes?  We might be coming over to play with some of her new toys!

Chatting to grandma on Skype.

The adults played this hilarious game called Anomia.  You take turns flipping cards and if your symbol matches someone else's, you have to think of an answer for the subject on their card while they think of one for yours.  Whoever answers first wins the other person's card.

Happy Birthday sweet girl!
