Hawaii 2013

At the end of November, we took an amazing nine day trip to Hawaii. We both absolutely loved it and can't wait to go back! Leif bought a GoPro camera so we could take pictures in the water and it was the best investment ever! We went on a sailing and snorkelling trip one morning and Leif took some really good pictures.

We also used the GoPro when we went paddling boarding. Unfortunately, some fog got into the case so the pictures are a little blurry. I definitely want to go paddle boarding again! Such a fun workout.

We walked for a long time in search of a good snorkel spot off the beach but nothing could compare to what we saw off the sailboat. This was taken at a secluded beach area which was nice after all the people everywhere!

This was taken during our nicest supper where we saw the beautiful sunset I posted to Instagram. Leif was tired of pictures!

Some nice music in the outdoor mall on our way back.

One day we rented a car and drove up to the north shore to watch some surfing and boy o boy did we ever get a show! We lucked upon the Vans Triple Crown surfing competition at Haleiwa beach.

Another day we went on a tour of Pearl Habor.  This is the retired USS Missouri.

This is the USS Arizona Memorial. It was one of the battleships that sunk during the attack.

Also part of our Pearl Harbor tour was a bus tour to other parts of the island.

We walked almost everywhere and there were a lot of these crazy looking trees.

This was a nice lagoon by the ocean. Looks like paradise.

So many people in the water!

This was the pool at our hotel. We had some nice games of Rummy on those lounge chairs in the sun.

A night view of Kalakaua Avenue from our balcony.

Hopefully we'll see you soon Hawaii!
