Sick September

We all spent most of September laid out with a terrible cold/flu.

The kids had some fun with Grandma.

We spent one cool morning playing outside.

Piper had a sick day and got to come to work with me for a little bit.

Today I went on a day date and it was the best. 14km run by the river (including a new 5k personal best), lunch for one, mani/pedi, and shopping with only necessary talking.

You can't tell by their faces, but this was the highlight of their day. So thankful for the friendly pair of gentlemen who proved that firefighters are our friends.

I've been devastated for YEARS thinking I foolishly purged my yearbooks. I literally squealed with excitement today when I spotted them on a shelf at my parents' house. I've never been so happy to look at awkward teenage pictures of myself!
